Aurora officers fire their weapons after responding to report of a fight west of Children’s Hospital Thursday

AURORA, Colo. Officers with the Aurora Police Department fired their weapons after responding to a report of a fight west of Childrens Hospital Colorado Thursday afternoon.

Officers were responding to a report of a fight in a parking lot near intersection of E. 16th Ave. and Oswego St. just before 2 p.m. when officers fired their weapons.

No details as to why officers fired their weapons moments after arriving at the scene were immediately available.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, an APD official said one person was taken to a local hospital but their condition was not known.

No officers were injured, according to the post.
