BROOMFIELD, Colo. (KDVR) — A Broomfield liquor store has been broken into for a second time in under two years.

Around 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, two people dressed in all black shattered the door at Arista Wine and Spirits. Surveillance video showed the pair go behind the counter, rummage through the store and leave with several items.

"They got away with a lot of high-end tequilas, lot of our top shelf stuff, we're talking tens of thousands of dollars worth of high-end items. They stole probably about 350 vapes," said owner Brian Yauk. "I wake up Thursday morning to an alert from my alarm system. I'm watching it live, them robbing us of our livelihood."

Yauk said it only took the pair four minutes to harm his business, before ultimately getting away.

"It was maddening really. It was unnerving, unsettling, real gut-wrenching," said Yauk. "The police told me that they made contact with them only a few blocks away from here... She turned on the lights. They turned off their lights and fled. She said unfortunately it's Broomfield's policy "to not pursue."

Arista Wine and Spirits has been the victim of a previous break-in in December 2022, where a suspect reportedly pried open their door with a crowbar and walked out with the cash register.

"We had just bought the store 6 weeks prior. That was a bit, oh no, this is not the best way to start our journey, our business," said Yauk. "Still a violation, still disturbing. They caught him."

But, two years later, the owner said there was one silver lining.

"They didn't destroy anything, except the door. So, it's all business it seems. It was personal, but we're grateful," said Yauk. "We're missing a lot of the goods now, people come in, want to buy them, well, we're out. We will re-up but it's going to take a week or two."

The Broomfield Police Department confirmed to FOX31 they are investigating this incident. But, the owner has one final message for the suspects.

"You will get caught. You will pay the price. We will outlast you," said Yauk.
