Denver weather: Drier and warmer weather to return

KDVR Fox 31

DENVER (KDVR) — After nearly a month without precipitation and finally seeing beneficial rain and snowfall in Colorado, drier and warmer conditions will return starting Sunday.

Denver's weather will be windy Sunday as Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast, tracks another big warm-up.

Weather tonight: Dry and breezy

Temperatures overnight fall into the lower 40s with mostly cloudy skies and generally dry conditions across the area. Winds will be a little breezy from the south at 10-15 mph.

Weather tomorrow: Warming back up

Unseasonably warm air returns Sunday afternoon.

Sunday will begin with partly sunny skies, but clouds will decrease through the day in northeast Colorado. Temperatures will warm back into the lower 70s thanks to a wind from the south gusting at times over 30 miles per hour.

Looking ahead: Another dry and warm stretch begins

Colorado's weather will turn silent again for the upcoming week. Temperatures Monday will be in the low 70s with breezy conditions continuing. Temperatures will briefly dip on Wednesday before jumping back into the 70s on Thursday. Friday may be near 80 degrees.

Beyond the seven-day forecast, dry conditions look likely through the end of October.
