Denver weather: More sunshine ahead of weekend showers
KDVR Fox 31
DENVER (KDVR) — Denver's weather will stay mild and sunny through the start of the weekend. This will be followed by the next chance for showers Sunday into Monday.
Weather tonight: Mild, mountain snow shower
Thursday night will stay partly cloudy and mild with lows in the mid-30s for the metro. Light snow will develop in parts of the mountains as a system moves through.
Weather tomorrow: Sunshine, mild
Friday, sunshine is back in the forecast. Temperatures will climb to a high in the lower 60s, which is slightly cooler than today, but still above normal.
Looking ahead: Weekend sun to showers
Saturday, sunny and breezy conditions will help to boost highs to the upper 60s, which is 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.
The next big chance moves in with a cold front by the end of the weekend. As the cold front moves into the area, snow will start in the mountains, but with highs in the 50s on Sunday, showers will start as rain in the metro.
Rain will transition to snow Sunday night into Monday morning. But, after a stretch of sunshine and highs in the 60s, as well as the timing of rain changing to snowfall, there will be minimal impacts for the metro. However, the Pinpoint Weather Team is keeping an eye on the Palmer Divide for the chance for more snow accumulation.
Sunshine returns to the forecast Tuesday, alongside chilly temperatures starting in the 20s and then climbing to the upper 40s. More sunshine will bring temperatures back to seasonal levels by Wednesday, then lower 60s onThursday.
