Morris the Ace Hardware cat is missing

Sky High News

Morris, the orange cat who lives at Granby Ace Hardware, has been missing since early Friday morning.

Granby Ace employees posted on Facebook that the shop cat isn’t normally gone this long. They urged anyone who has seen Morris to call the store at 970-887-3395.

“Thank you to all of our team members and neighbors at Ace who have already been looking around adjoining properties for him,” Granby Ace wrote on Facebook.

Morris recently won Best Shop Pet in the Sky-Hi News Best of Grand competition. Morris is a beloved fixture at the hardware store, where he greets customers.

In 2022, Morris was taken by a couple visiting Granby when he was in a parking lot at Debbie’s Driven In next to Ace. The Granby Police Department retrieved him from the Front Range and brought him back home. Following the return of Morris, Granby trustees passed a resolution declaring Morris the Cat Day in the town, which is Sept. 14.
