John Phillip “Pete” Christie, 77, of Grand Lake, CO, unexpectedly passed away on June 19, 2024 at Abrazo Hospital in Phoenix, AZ; with his family by his side. Pete was born October 20, 1946 in Atchison, KS.
He is survived by his 3 children, Doug Christie, Denver, CO, Lori Suttman (Steve), Denver, CO and Brad Christie (Kelly) of Palm Beach Garden, FL; 4 grandchildren Taryn Christie, Linkin Christie, Lauren Buckley and James Buckley; 2 sisters Sandy Baumgardner (Jerry) of Emporia, KS and Peggy Tuley (Dean) of Holton, KS and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial Graveside Service for Pete will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024 at the Monrovia Cemetery, east of Effingham. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS is in charge of arrangements. www.mercerfuneralhomes.com.
