Winter Park under winter storm warning

Some parts of Grand County are under a winter storm warning, from 2 p.m. Sunday to 11 a.m. Monday. According to the National Weather Service of Denver/Boulder, the snow accumulation will be most significant in the eastern end of the county. Winter Park is expected to receive at least 5-9 inches through Monday morning.

The storm will be concentrated on the east end of the county.

According to the Facebook page Grand County Weather, the advisory “calls for 5-10 inches of snow across the mountains, with isolated amounts exceeding a foot closer to Winter Park. Travel could be difficult and impacts could impact the Monday morning commute.”

As of 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Winter Park Resort has received two inches.
