One person arrested after homicide near High Line Canal

One person was arrested after a body was found outside near the High Line Canal Monday morning, the Denver Police Department announced Tuesday on X.

Police found the body outside in the 1800 block of South Quebec Way in the Indian Creek neighborhood of southeast Denver, police reported about 7 a.m. Monday.

The investigation was later upgraded to a homicide investigation, and police took a person into custody, according to a Tuesday morning update on X.

A Denver Police Department spokesperson did not immediately answer questions about the investigation or the person police arrested.
