DENVER (KDVR) — The Aurora Police Department reported that officers were involved in a shooting on Thursday afternoon.
The agency said officers were responding to a report of a fight in a parking lot when the shooting occurred in the 11900 block of East 16th Avenue, which is at the intersection with Oswego Street.
The area is near Colfax and Nome Street, and near to an apartment complex, the Fitzsimons apartments, that the city closed for over a dozen code violations.
Further information about the incident was not available as of 3 p.m.
