Eastbound U.S. 36 is closed for a crash near Superior, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The highway closed just before 6 p.m. for a crash near the McCaslin Boulevard exit, the agency said in a travel alert. All traffic must exit onto McCaslin.

CDOT cameras show eastbound traffic backing up to South Cherryvale Road near Boulder.
