DENVER (KDVR) — Patients at the Children's Hospital Colorado are in good hands, better yet, they are in the care of some of the best staff in the nation.
Children's Hospital Colorado has been awarded one of 10 spots on the 2024-2025 Best Children's Hospital's Honor Roll. The distinctions are awarded by U.S. News & World Report, which collected and analyzed data alongside research institute, RTI International, from 108 children's hospitals around the nation and surveyed thousands of pediatric specialists.
After compositing the data, they based their rankings on clinical outcomes, the level and quality of hospital resources directly related to patient care and expert opinion from pediatric specialists.
Children's Hospital Colorado was recognized as the top hospital in Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region. Each hospital was ranked in six pediatric specialties and while they didn't achieve the top spot in any of the fields, Children's Hospital Colorado was able to put up consistent numbers across all six specialties.

- Pulmonology and lung surgery — No. 6
- Cardiology and heart surgery — No. 6
- Urology — No. 6
- Gastroenterology and GI surgery — No. 7
- Cancer — No. 8

For the first time, behavioral health was considered in the ranking and Children's Hospital Colorado was among the top hospitals in mental and behavioral health according to the survey.
