DENVER (KDVR) — It has been almost a month since Denver weather and parts of the state have seen rain or snow. The needed moisture will be around from late Friday through late Sunday before it dries out again. The best chance for rain showers for Denver and the Front Range will be from late Friday into early Saturday according to Pinpoint Weather, Colorado’s Most Accurate Forecast.

Weather tonight: Showers and chilly

Rain and snow showers will continue overnight, especially across the Colorado mountains. It will be mostly cloudy and breezy at times. Temperatures will be chilly with lots of 30s including metro Denver and the Front Range.

Weather tomorrow: On & off showers and mountain snow

There will be rain showers early on Saturday for metro Denver and the Front Range. The accumulating snow will still be falling in the Colorado mountains. The deepest totals will be in the San Juan mountains in southwest Colorado with up to two feet of snow possible mainly above 10,000 feet. The northern mountains will also see some light snow with between an inch to 3" possibly above 9,000 feet.

Looking ahead: Drying out again with warm days ahead

The forecast is looking dry again once the weekend storms lift away from Colorado on Sunday. There will be a few light remaining rain showers for the Front Range on Sunday especially late in the day. Some additional light snow will fall in the mountains with little accumulation.

Temperatures will quickly turn warm with above-average readings in the 70s expected each afternoon through the end of the week. The average high in Denver is in the low 60s for this late in October. Record highs next week are all in the low 80s and look out of reach.
