DENVER (KDVR) — Denver's weather will stay dry mild and breezy most of Easter Sunday. The next chance for showers moves in Sunday night into Monday alongside much cooler temperatures to start the workweek.

A fire weather warning will be in effect Sunday due to dry conditions and strong wind gusts. This could lead to rapid fire spread, so avoid outdoor burning or any activity that could result in a spark and start a fire.

Weather tonight: Partly cloudy

Saturday night will stay partly cloudy and mild. Lows will fall to the mid-30s, which is 5 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Weather tomorrow: Mild, breezy, showers late

Easter Sunday will start cool with a low in the mid-30s by sunrise.

This will be followed by a mostly sunny sky and a breezy southwest wind gusting over 20 mph, helping to boost highs back to the mid 60s.

Snow showers will pick up in the mountains on Sunday, then showers will spill into the Front Range by Sunday evening and overnight.

Looking ahead: Monday showers ahead of a warming trend

Sunday night into Monday morning, rain showers will mix with snow as temperatures fall to the 30s. Expect little to no snowfall in the metro.

The best chance for accumulating snowfall will be in the high country, so make sure to use caution if you will be heading into the mountains on Sunday or Monday.

Sunshine returns to the forecast on Tuesday and will aid in a warming trend.

Temperatures will climb from highs in the 40s Monday, to 50s Tuesday, then 60s on Wednesday. By Thursday and Friday, Denver is on track for the first 70-degree day of the year.
