DENVER (KDVR) — Sunshine is back early on Tuesday with a few clouds by the afternoon and the small chance for a spotty storm as highs hit 80 degrees in the Denver weather forecast.

Weather today: Warm and sunny

Sunshine is here early on Tuesday, helping highs climb to the 80 degree mark as winds are light.

There is the chance for some light afternoon showers or storms, but chances are low.

Weather tonight: Clear and mild

Denver will see a few extra clouds by Tuesday night as winds stay light. Overnight lows will be above average in the lower 50s.

Looking ahead: Warmer with more storm chances

Wednesday is back with early sunshine and hot highs in the middle 80s, before storms fire up just east of the metro.

Storms can become strong across the plains with gusty damaging winds and small hail. There is a slight risk of severe weather across the plains on Wednesday afternoon.

Thursday also has storm chances, but it looks to start and include more of the Interstate 25 corridor. Highs on Thursday will be around the 80-degree mark.

Friday rounds out the workweek with isolated storm chances, early sunshine and highs near 80.

Saturday has even smaller storm chances with extra sunshine and warm highs in the lower 80s. Sunday brings back mainly sunny skies and dry conditions as highs hit the upper 80s.

Monday starts the next workweek with plenty of sunshine and highs in the middle 80s.
