DENVER (KDVR) —  Denver's weather will be dominated by sunshine and warmer-than-normal temperatures through the start of the work week, while the mountains see a few light snow showers.

Weather tonight: Clouds clearing

Sunday night, clouds will gradually decrease. Temperatures will fall to the upper 20s, which is almost 10 degrees above normal for this time of year.

Weather tomorrow: Sunny, warmer

Monday, sunshine will help keep a warming trend going. High temperatures will reach the upper 50s, which is more than 10 degrees above average.

Looking ahead: Staying above average, midweek showers

Tuesday will be the warmest day of the week. Temperatures will climb to the mid-60s, which is nearly 20 degrees above normal, but still about 10 degrees shy of the record of 75 degrees set in 1935.

Wednesday, clouds will increase ahead of the chance for showers that move in Wednesday evening. Showers will start as rain and briefly mix with snow Wednesday night into early Thursday.

The chance for showers is on track to clear out Thursday evening ahead of sunshine Friday into the weekend.
