DENVER (KDVR) — After a mild Thursday, Denver's weather will turn snowy by the end of the week and into the start of the weekend. A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day has been issued for Saturday.

Snow will pick up late Friday and continue into Saturday. Like last weekend, snowfall will be heavy and wet. As it accumulates, it could lead to slick roads and difficult travel.

Weather tonight: More clouds

Thursday night, more clouds will build in. Temperatures will be chilly and fall to the mid-20s, which is about 5 degrees warmer than normal for this time of year.

Weather tomorrow: Snow showers

Friday morning, there will be a chance for a few snow showers. Expect little snowfall accumulation through the morning, but plan for the potential of slushy roads during the morning drive.

Looking ahead: Saturday snow, milder workweek

A Pinpoint Weather Alert Day and a winter storm watch have been issued for Saturday for heavy, wet snow that will accumulate and make travel difficult.

Snowfall totals will reach 4-8 inches widespread, with isolated heavier totals.

Snow showers will wrap up by Sunday morning, followed by the return of sunshine and chilly temperatures.

A much more seasonal weather pattern returns the for upcoming workweek with sunshine, lows in the teens and 20s and highs in the mid-40s.
