As the weather turns snowy, Granby Recreation Department has creative workshops and indoor activities for children.

Create with Kathi: Scary pumpkin workshop

Join Granby Recreation Department and Kathi Manville for a fun watercolor class for kids ages 6 and up (and adults). The first class will be held on Friday, Oct. 25, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Granby Community Building. The class will make a scary pumpkin, and all materials and supplies will be provided. The fee is $35.

After-school adventure

Join the Granby Recreation Department in an after-school adventure. This program is offered every day from 4:20 to 6 p.m. Any child age kindergarten through fifth grade is welcome. The group will meet in the new Granby Elementary lunchroom. The cost is $10 per day, preregistered. Activities include arts and crafts, sports, games, homework help and free play.

Fun club at soccer dome

Run off some energy at the Granby soccer dome during the Fun Club. The club is open to all kids, ages kindergarten through fifth grade. The group will meet at the Granby Elementary School lunchroom right after school and walk to the dome. The club will emphasize having fun while playing a few new sports. It will be held on Thursdays, after school through Nov. 7-21. The cost is $30 for the three weeks. Pick up will be in the dome at 6 p.m.
