Diaz was replaced by Jacob Stallings at the top of the third inning when the Rockies were up 2-0. Stallings would go on to record a single in his first plate appearance of the evening. Last month, Diaz landed on the 10-day injured list due to a left calf strain before being reinstated on June 30. Diaz has played in 68 games, sporting a .284 batting average with five home runs, 30 RBI and 16 walks. He has struggled this month, hitting .188 with 10 strikeouts.
