DENVER (KDVR) — Voters who plan on dropping their ballot off or voting in person near the Denver City and County Building may notice some fencing around the park, but the temporary infrastructure isn't for Election Day, it's for the holiday season.
On Monday, the Denver Elections Division explained the reasoning behind the temporary addition.
The division confirmed the fencing is not related to the general election or Election Day.
"The fencing is the city preparing for the Cristkindl market. Tis the season for jingle bells and elections!" said the elections division on X.

As the city prepares for the holiday season, the fencing won't deter voters in Denver. People can still drop off their mail-in ballots at the Denver Elections Division building at 200 W. 14th Ave. There is also a drive-thru on 14th Street and Bannock Street.
Those planning on voting in person on Election Day can still do so at the McNichols Building at 144 W. Colfax Ave.
Voters have until 7 p.m. to submit their vote.
Once the election season ends, the holiday season will begin. According to Civic Center Park, the Christkindlmarket will open on Friday, Nov. 22, along with the Mile High Tree.
