The Men's NCAA Basketball Tournament is one of the more popular sporting events on the calendar every spring.

Qualifying schools fan out all over the country in the quest for a National Championship. Fans, alums and current students flock to cities in all corners of the United States in search of basketball glory.

If you plan on traveling to see your favorite school play, why not pack your paddle? There are great locations to play between basketball games in every locale, however with some of the venues in cold weather sites, indoor facilities might be in order.

Dayton, Ohio (15 locations)

The annual site of the First Four, Dayton boasts 15 locations in and around the city. Considering it's the middle of March, an indoor facility is probably the route to go. Check out KTC Quail Tennis Club, which has 15 indoor courts for a one-time fee.

Brooklyn, New York (9 locations)

We'll focus on the borough of Brooklyn since the Barclays Center is the site of the first and second round. While there are many more options if you are willing to travel by rideshare, subway or (gulp) driving, there are some cool spots in Brooklyn itself. If it happens to be a nice day you can sneak out to John J Carty Park, which has four free outdoor courts.

Charlotte (37 locations)

In an active major metro area like Charlotte it's not surprising that there would be plenty of options to sneak out for a pickleball game between NCAA Tournament games. While there are numerous locations, some are private. There is, however, Charlotte Tennis and Pickleball, which has 12 indoor and six outdoor courts for a one-time fee.

Indianapolis (38 locations)

Another major metro area that probably won't be offering balmy weather in late March, so we'll spotlight an indoor facility. Go West Sports has five indoor courts for a one-time fee. If you are a Life Time Fitness member, you can also check out this facility, which has six permanent courts.

Omaha, Nebraska (25 locations)

The city of Omaha has 25 of the 99 total courts in the entire state of Nebraska. Again, taking potential weather into consideration, an indoor facility might make more sense. Check out Smash Park, which has four indoor courts for a one-time fee.

Pittsburgh (26 locations)

Talk about making something out of nothing. Check out this facility inside a convention center. The David L. Lawrence Convention Center has 30 indoor courts. The nets aren't permanent, but who cares! Thirty courts.

Salt Lake City (18 locations)

With Utah being one of the hotbeds for pickleball, court access is abundant. These outdoor courts at Fairmont Park are nice and free for public use. If it's not snowing in late March (always a possibility) these courts are calling your name.

Spokane, Washington (24 locations)

Definitely still in winter mode most likely in Spokane, so we'll spotlight an indoor facility. While the Press Pickleball Club requires a membership, maybe you and your traveling party can sweet talk your way into a one-time visitors fee.

Memphis (16 locations)

Only 16 places to play in greater Memphis, with many of them inside church gyms. These three courts at the White Station Church of Christ are free (but feel free to maker a donation to the church!).

Boston (23 locations)

Likely too cold (or rainy, or both) in greater Boston in late March to play outside. Bosse Sports has four indoor courts with permanent nets for a one-time fee.

Dallas (20 locations)

Plenty of outdoor and free options for those of you traveling to Big D for the tournament. These six courts at Cole Park are free and look beautiful.

Detroit (4 locations)

Not a ton of options in the city of Detroit, so you might be better off looking into some of the options in the suburbs. Vreeland Park has three free outdoor courts, however, if the weather cooperates.

Los Angeles (16 locations)

As you are aware, Los Angeles is a sprawling metro, so by all means check out what some of the adjacent towns have to offer. There are three free courts at the Balboa Sports Center on Burbank Boulevard.

Glendale/Phoenix (30 locations)

If your school makes it to the Final Four, they'll be in Greater Phoenix (with the site in nearby Glendale). Metro Phoenix has plenty of options including G.R. Herberger Park, which has four free outdoor courts. Be sure to check out the surrounding areas for other options as the region has no shortage of options for out of towners.
